Have you decided that you would like to vacation on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai? If so, a good first step starts making all of your needed travel arrangements. Once those arrangements are complete, you should examine popular attractions on the island.
Kapaa:

Kapaa, also spelled Kapa’a, means “solid” in Hawaiian. Travelers find this small town, nestled at the base of Nounou Mountain on Kauai tourist friendly with its diverse array of hotels, shopping centers, and restaurants. Kauai North of Wailua on the East Side is Kapaa Town, a great area for shopping on Kauai.

Kapaa is safe, the chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime in Kapaa is 1 in 36. Based on FBI crime data, Kapaa is not one of the safest communities in America.

Kokee State Park:

Not far from the Waimea Canyon is the Kokee State Park. Although often considered to be a separate attraction and destination, many travel websites combine this state park with the Waimea Canyon. Hiking trails can allow you to explore the land, as well as take amazing pictures. The Kokee Museum can teach you the history and culture behind the area you are about to explore or just finished exploring. State Park is covered in forest, wildflowers, and hiking trails making it an excellent spot to see native plants and colorful endemic Hawaiian forest birds.

Waimea Canyon

Waimea Canyon:

One attraction that you will want to visit when on a Kauai vacation, is that of the Waimea Canyon. Also known as the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific.” Here, you will find a number of lookout spots that are a sightseer’s dream come true.

Did you know that Waimea Canyon was a National Park? On the Canyon Trail beginning on Highway 550, hikers can sit atop the 800 foot Waipoo Falls while on the moderate Black Pipe Trail, hikers traverse through the stunning Koa Forest.

The canyon was formed by a deep incision of the Waimea River arising from the extreme rainfall on the island’s central peak, Mount Waiʻaleʻale, among the wettest places on earth.

How about a hike through Waimea Canyon? This is one of the most popular and scenic trails. Canyon Trail branches off of the Cliff Trail and is a 3.4-mile round trip that takes two to three hours to complete and enjoy. About halfway down the trail, hikers will reach Waipo’o Falls, a gorgeous 800-foot cascading waterfall

Napali Coast:

The Napali Coast, located on the northern end of Hawaii, is a must-visit for those looking for fun and adventure. Unfortunately, the Napali Coast is only accessible by the Kalalau Trail. This trial is eleven miles long and covers rough terrain. Due to the terrain, only those in good health are encouraged to take the hike. Also, due to its length, many tourists decide to stop and camp along the way, creating a two-day adventure.

Although the Napali Coast is a hiker’s dream come true, those who wish to avoid the long journey can still enjoy and see the beauty of the land either by boat or air. Helicopter tours of the coast and guided boat tours are also available.

Hawaii is known for its sometimes mysterious, but amazing legends. One is that of the Spouting Horn, located on the south end of Hawaii in Poipu. Here, water spouts around 50 feet high! According to Hawaii’s Official Tourism Site, the ancient Hawaiians thought the coast was protected by a giant lizard. It was believed that the water spraying up from the lava tubes is his breath.

The Kilauea Light House is another must-visit attraction for Kauai vacationers. The lighthouse is situated atop a rugged coastline. It is known as the best destination to take pictures, as you are able to get unique panoramic shots. It adds to the beautiful view of the ocean, you will also see a wide array of sea birds, as the area is also home to the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge.

As you can see, there are a number of great attractions for you to visit on your next Kauai vacation. In fact, did you know the above-mentioned activities are just a few of the many that you will find? Other mentionable include the Captain Cook Monument in Waimea, the Huleia National Wildlife Refuge, and the Allerton Tropical Gardens and McBryde Gardens, both located near Poipu Beach.

Seville Is One Of The Jewels of Spain, Capital of Andalusia

Posted on February 20, 2021 by PTBAdmin
Seville Spain

Seville is one of the jewels of Spain, with architecture, museums, food, and shopping that make it a must-see holiday destination. Andalusia is a largely autonomous region of hills, rivers, and farmland bordering Spain’s southern coast. The city of Seville is famous worldwide for its culture, monuments, traditions, and artistic heritage. This is the birthplace of Flamenco and the city where the most amazing Easter processions take place. But Seville is also the neuralgic center of the South of Spain, a city full of life and possibilities.

All Coastal Vacations Travel Packages, One-Time purchase and are Good for Life-Time (Evergreen) and it can be passed on to your family!  Level Purchase Coastal Vacations Resort Package Price: $1,295 (You earn $1,000 per sale as a Free Affiliate)

Seville is in the Spanish region of Andalucia, which also includes the coastal resorts of Costa del Sol and Costa Almeria. Seville itself is set inland, although the coastal areas are within easy reach. It has its own airport, which is a 45-minute drive from the city.

Seville is famous for its Cathedral, which is the largest in the world. Built on the site of a twelfth-century mosque, it is simple but awe-inspiring and a sight not to be missed. Also make sure you see the Casa de Pilatos, built by the first Marquis de Tarifa in the early sixteenth century. It is one of the finest palaces in Seville and now also houses a courtyard and park, at the end of which are mansions that have been turned into museums.

Seville’s Santa Cruz neighborhood is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque areas to stay in Seville. Very narrow cobblestone streets, charming plazas, and spectacular interior patios that you might be lucky enough to glimpse if a door is left open

Tourist Attractions in Seville:

  • Catedral de Sevilla. Catedral de Sevilla.
  • Real Alcázar.
  • Parque de María Luisa and Plaza de España.
  • Explore Barrio Santa Cruz: Seville’s Most Charming Neighborhood.
  • Museo de Bellas Artes
  • Iglesia Colegial del Salvador.
  • Santa Semana
  • Museo del Baile Flamenco

Seville Restaurants and Food:

For a real taste of Seville, spend some time in the Barrio Santa Cruz, one of the most picturesque parts of the city, full of narrow lanes and surprising squares; whitewashed houses, and excellent tapas bars. Tapas is thought to have been invented in Seville, and it’s certainly the way that most locals choose to eat. The range is incredible and the prices good, so take advantage of the more than one thousand places in the city where tapas is available.

Tapas bars, restaurants:

  • La Cacharreria – Seville’s Best Breakfast/Brunch Spot.
  • Las Golondrinas – Gritty Local’s Pub.
  • Maquila – Craft Beer and Tapas in the Heart of Seville.
  • La Azotea – A Fresh Take on Andalusian Food.

Typical Foods in Seville:

  • 1 & 2. Secreto ibérico & presa ibérica.
  • Carrillada de cerdo. Pork cheek is one of Seville’s most traditional stewed meats.
  • Espinacas con garbanzos.
  • Serranito.
  • Solomillo al whisky.
  • Montadito de pringá.
  • Cazón en adobo.

  • La Cacharerria.
  • Bodegas Santa Cruz (Las Columnas)
  • La Azotea.
  • La Brunilda.
  • Sal Gorda.
  • Petit Comité

Seville Hotels:

You don’t get a true feeling for Seville by staying in a large chain hotel. You need to choose a small, friendly but stylish boutique hotel that reflects the nature of the city and its people. Try a boutique hotel like Casa No 7, which only has 6 bedrooms and is decorated with style and taste around a small courtyard, typical of Seville. Alternatively, the Casa Romana boutique hotel is right in the middle of Seville, which means that you can use the hotel as a cool and refined base while you check out everything that Seville has to offer.

On average, 3-star hotels in Seville cost $70 per night, and 4-star hotels in Seville are $84 per night. If you’re looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Seville can be found for $163 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).

On average, it costs $75 per night to book a 3-star hotel in Seville for tonight. You’ll pay around $98 if you choose to stay in a 4-star hotel tonight, while a 5-star hotel in Seville will cost around $197, on average (based on Booking.com prices).

Seville Beach

Seville Beach:

Part of the Costa de la Luz comprised of the southwestern shores of Andalusia, the closest beach to Seville is located in the region’s neighboring province of Huelva. The urban beach is around four miles long and boasts a stunning location framed by the Atlantic Ocean to the south and Doñana National Park to the north

The closest beach to Seville, Matalascañas may not be the most secluded beach on our list, but the beautiful views and wonderful chiringuitos along the boardwalk make for an amazing día de playa near the Andalusian capital.

Great Beaches Close to Seville:

  • City of Cadiz, Cadiz.
  • Matalascañas, Huelva.
  • Punta Umbría, Huelva.
  • La Fontanilla, Cadiz.
  • Cala de Aceite, Cadiz.
  • Caños de Meca, Cadiz.
  • Bolonia, Cadiz.

How do I get around?

Seville is a busy city with lots of narrow roads, and it is a brave person who attempts to drive – or park – in the main areas. Parking, in particular, is very limited and often restricted to residents of businesses; so avoid parking fines and unnecessary stress by only hiring a car if you’re planning to drive outside the city. Instead, use the very regular and reliable bus service which costs little and offers multiple journey tickets, or get one of Seville’s white taxis. Tourists often take a horse and carriage to see Seville’s main sites – this is a particularly popular option with couples and families. As with most cities, one of your best options is to walk. There are maps available from the tourist offices and you can explore Seville at your leisure.

Seville Things To Do:

Seville, Spain took top honors in the travel site’s annual Best in Travel roundup, which names both cities and countries worth visiting in the coming year. … The city is known for its rich history, stunning architecture and authentic culture that includes plenty of tapas tasting and Flamenco dancing.

Spanish Things to Buy in Seville:

  • Cartuja Ceramics. Seville’s Cartuja Monastery, now a world-class modern art museum, still stands witness to the large kilns used to fire the hand-crafted ceramics that emblazons the city. …
  • Olive Oil. …
  • Convent Sweets. …
  • Hand-Painted Fans. …
  • Orange Blossom Perfume. …
  • Mantillas and Mantones de Encaje. …
  • Sherry Wine. …
  • Anisette.

Violent crime is all but nonexistent in the Andalusian capital, and most areas of the city are perfectly safe at all hours of the day. However, petty crime such as pickpocketing does happen, especially in crowded touristy areas.

The Perfect 3 Days in Seville Itinerary:

  • Visit the Magnificent Plaza de España.
  • Take a Stroll in the Colorful Streets of Barrio Santa Cruz.
  • Have Lunch at a Historic Tapas Bar.
  • Explore the Hidden Casa de Pilatos.
  • Relax at Metropol Parasol.
  • Have Dinner at El Rinconcillo.
Seville Football Club

Sevilla Football:

Seville has two professional teams, Sevilla Football Club and Real Betis Balompie, both currently playing in the Spanish first division, La Liga, and of course there is an intense local rivalry between the two. Betis has always been known as “the people’s team”, whereas Sevilla FC has the prestige and the money.

Seville Football Club:

Sevilla FC is also the most successful club in Andalusia, winning a national league title in 1945–46, five Spanish Cups (1935, 1939, 1948, 2007 and 2010), one Spanish Super Cup (2007), a record six UEFA Cups/UEFA Europa Leagues (2006, 2007, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2020) and the 2006 UEFA Super Cup. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sevilla_FC

The rivalry between Sevilla and Betis is considered one of the biggest rivalries in the world of football. A healthy rivalry, often taken to humorous extremes by fans with inexhaustible arguments and comebacks, as often happens in those families where fans of the two different teams are forced to live together.

Seville Spain Real Estate:

Buying property in Spain a good investment with the cost of living is much cheaper than in other countries, as well as the rentals, so Spain has also become a great alternative not only for retired people, but also for young people who wish to establish here and live permanently.

Purchasing a property in Spain involves the payment of different taxes, ranging between 8% and 11.5%, whether the property is newly built, generally sold by banks or construction companies, or the property has already been owned by another person, a resale.

Whistler Village

Whistler Village:

Whistler Rentals:

Whistler properties vary along 3 key dimensions: size, quality/style, and location. We don’t need to say much about size; there are properties on the rental market ranging from shoeboxes of 350 sq. ft to imposing chalets of 6000 sq. ft. or more. Quality is another question altogether.

Much of the Whistler rental inventory was built in the 80s and 90s when the profile of the resort was lower and the cost was the name of the game. Most developments were built with indifferent design, cheap materials, poor quality fixtures and fittings, and décor that is unimaginative at best.

You do not want to spend your vacation in a condo with a blue carpet, magnolia walls, Formica countertops, shiny brass bathroom fittings, and garishly-colored sofas. So you need to seek out either one of the more recent developments, such as Taluswood, that were built to a much higher specification, or you need to find a unit that has been recently renovated (or ‘Whistlerized’, as the local term has it). ‘Whistlerization’ typically involves installing slate floors, granite countertops, stone fireplaces, wooden cupboards, beams and trim, and painting in earthy autumnal tones of café-au-lait, caramel, and burgundy. These units have a much more mountain-cabin feel.

The top-of-the-line properties in Whistler go a stage or three beyond this, with spectacular designs and extremely high-end finishes, although only a few of these properties are on the rental market.

Location is perhaps the key issue in choosing your Whistler rental. Although only a small town, there are many different areas you can choose for your vacation, and each of them has advantages and disadvantages.

The Village is the place for proximity to bars and restaurants, and for being a relatively short walk to the lifts. However most of the inventory in the Village is small, with one or two-bedrooms units dominant in the mix, and it was all built to a cheap standard. It is critical to find a unit that has received a recent quality renovation. There are also one or two units that are larger, but you may have to search hard to find them.

The Upper Village is on the lower slopes of Blackcomb Mountain. This is the location for ski-in, ski-out units that are also reasonably accessible to the Village. However, if you want to ski-in, ski-out make sure that you check what this means. Some properties are actually on the slopes; others, still styling themselves ‘ski-in, ski-out’ may be up to 5 minutes walk away. Still, others are ski-in, but not ski-out.

The second main location for ski-in, ski-out units is Taluswood on the lower slopes of Whistler Mountain. This is a very upscale area with a variety of accommodations, but all of a high-quality standard using peeled logs, natural materials, and quality décor. Access to the slopes is very easy, with no more than a 2-minute walk from most properties. However, you need a vehicle to get to shops and restaurants, as this area is not served by either the free shuttle or by municipal buses.

The fourth location in Creekside, the original location of Whistler. This used to be a very downmarket area, but recent heavy investment has made it a decent alternative to the Village. The Creekside gondola is always less crowded than the lifts in the Village, and there is now a great selection of shops and restaurants in town. The quality of accommodation is very mixed, with many unattractive older properties and a few newer, luxury chalets that are equal to any in Whistler. You can walk to the lifts from most locations in Creekside.

Finally, there is a selection of other locations, including Blueberry Hill, Nicklaus North, and Alpine Meadows. Here you will generally find larger homes, but they are not ski-in, ski-out and you will have to drive to the Village as well. However, you will get more for your money in terms of the quality and size of the property itself here.

If you are going to Maui, your question will not be of what to do but instead of what to do first? There are so many great sights to see, things to do, places to go, and more that you might feel you can never see and do it all in one trip.

  • Go to a Luau – You can’t visit Hawaii without seeing a luau and Maui knows how to do them right! Even some of the hotels that you might stay at in Maui have great beachside luaus as well as restaurant and resort package deals. Luaus will feature authentic Hawaiian food such as kalua pig, point, and haupia and usually a buffet spread.
  • Go biking- If you don’t mind some physical activity, you should see Maui from a bike. In fact, there are few places in the world that are as bike-friendly as Maui. There are even bicycle tours that let you go from one end of the island to the other. There are downhill bicycle tours and slow-paced tours that let you see the farms and small towns of Upcountry and the beaches down at Paia.
  • Fine dining- There are fine places to eat and dine all over Maui. In fact, this island has the best dining in all of Maui. Many fine, experienced chefs from all over the country and even the world have come to Maui to work their magic in the restaurants here on the island. There is literally a restaurant for every taste so whether you like to experiment and try a bit of everything, or whether you are strict in your eating habits.
  • Hiking- Another great idea while in Maui is to go hiking. There are fabulous trails that take you literally all over the island. You can even hike in the great craters such as the Haleakala and you can see waterfalls, plunge pools, and much more. There is a hiking trail for everyone- no matter what your physical fitness level.
  • Go for a drive- You would not believe some of the fantastic scenic drives on Maui. The Hana Highway is a 56 mile stretch of 54 bridges over winding lava shore, through old plantation towns, past miles of beaches, and through towering forests. You might also want to take a drive to the summit of Haleakala. Haleakala crater appears like the surface of an alien planet and the views of Maui from the summit are amazing.
Whale Watching Mau
  • Go for a dive- Maui is the best place to visit the underwater world of Hawaii. There are many different locations for diving and there are two marine conservation areas. Molokini is a partially submerged volcanic crater offshore of Wailea. Both Lahaina and Ma’alaea have glass bottom boats and a pleasure submarine to let non-swimmers share in the beauty of underwater Maui as well.
  • Whale watching Maui- You might already know that Maui has many beautiful and amazing sights that you can’t see anywhere else in the world. But have you ever been whale watching? From November through April each year, Maui welcomes the humpback whale and you can join in the celebration and catch some whale-watching of your own.
  • Shopping- Where would your vacation be without some fabulous shopping? With so many shops and stores to choose from, you simply can’t see Mau without leaving with some fantastic souvenirs. There are also many shops in Maui that contain specialty items unique to Hawaii and Maui such as one-of-a-kind jewelry, glasswork, and more.
  • Sightseeing- You can’t visit Maui without enjoying the many great sights there are to see. There are many historic locations such as Lahaina, old Hawaiian churches, the whaling history museums, and much more. There is so much to learn about the island and so much to see, you will wonder if you have enough time to do it all!
  • Swimming and Snorkeling- Well of course since you are here on the island, you must go swimming. Even if you are not an avid swimmer, you can take a quick dip and get your body wet. Or you might enjoy snorkeling at one of many great locations. Maui has over 80 beaches and over 120 miles of coast to choose from!

Mountains in Kenya

Mountains in Kenya:

The Aberdares are an isolated volcanic range that forms the eastern wall of the rift valley, running roughly 100km north south between Nairobi and Thomsons Falls. The Aberdare National Park was formed in 1950 to protect the forested slopes and moors of the Aberdare Mountains. While the park has elephant, rhino, black leopard, lion and the beautiful but elusive bongo antelope, it is rarely visited by safari companies and individual travelers. Soils are volcanic origin and red.

There are two main peaks Kinangop (3,906m) and Ol Donyo Lesatima (3,999m) separated by a lengthy saddle of alpine moorland at over 3,000m. The high rainfall turns the roads to mud and you need a 4×4 to get anywhere. The park often closes in the wet season. There are many clear streams and waterfalls.

Shaba National Reserve:

which lies east of the road linking Isiolo with Marsabit, form a trio of unusual and attractive game sanctuaries very different from others in Kenya. Shaba National Reserve has a particular place in the history of Kenya game conservation for it was in this reserve that the authoress, Joy Adamson, died; her trilogy of books on the rehabilitation of the compliant leopard to a wild environment remained unfinished.

Shaba was one of Joy Adamson’s greatest African loves; it was in this tranquil wilderness where she released the first hand-raised leopards Shaba took its name from the Mount Shaba (1525 meters), a volcanic mountain that became extinct around 5,000 years ago. Mount Shaba lies on the border of the reserve.

Mt. Kenya:

is an imposing extinct volcano dominating the landscape of the Kenyan Highlands, East of the Rift Valley. Mt. Kenya lies about 140 km North, North-East of Nairobi with its Northern flanks across the Equator. The mountain has two main peaks – Batian (5200m) and Nelion (5188m). The mountains slopes are cloaked in forest, bamboo, scrub and moorland giving way on the high central peaks to rock, ice and snow. Mt. Kenya is an important water catchment area, supplying the Tana and Northern Ewaso Ngiro systems. Lake Nakuru is a very shallow strongly alkaline lake 62 km2 in extent. It is set in a picturesque landscape of surrounding woodland and grassland next to Nakuru town. The landscape includes areas of marsh and grasslands alternating with rocky cliffs and outcrops, stretches of acacia woodland and rocky hillsides covered with a Euphorbia forest on the eastern perimeter.

The Masai Mara is one of the best known and most popular reserves in the whole of Africa. At times and in certain places it can get a little overrun with tourist minibuses, but there is something so special about it that it tempts you back time and again. Serengeti national park in Tanzania occupies 14,763 square km. The park boasts the highest wildlife concentrate in the whole of Africa and one of the best places to see the “big five” elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo. The annual animal immigration led by the thousands of wild best starts in May and lasts until June. Gazelle, zebra, giraffe, buffalo and eland in search of water share the movement. Along side this migration are predators and scavengers such as lions, hyena and vultures. Other common species fond here include hippo, giraffe, eland, impala, baboons, monkeys and a profusion of almost 500 bird species.
